London, for the author, 1861, 8vo,pp.(8),iv,216, original cloth. Ex-library copy with some wear to hinges, corners and head and tail of spine and old damp-marking and slight softening to lower corner of the top board. Library label on front paste-down, blind embossed stamp to title-page and ink stamp to verso of same. Nevertheless a sound, tight copy. According to the introductory Notice the author had a limited number of copies printed for distribution to his scientific and other friends. Inscribed on the title-page to The Rev ? George James with the author's kind regards Nov 8 1861.
