Octavo (21.75cm.); staplebound self-wrappers; 30,27,[1],[3]-40,31pp. Apparently removed from larger volume (remnants of grey spine paper); wrappers chipped and a bit worn with uniform dusting, else About Very Good. Five lectures, each separatey paginated: "The German Idea: 'Deutschland ueber Alles'"; "The British Idea: 'Britannia Rules the Waves'"; "The American Idea: Phrases versus Facts"; "The Russian Idea: The Proletarian Revolt"; and "The Labor Idea: The History and Future of the International." Having contrasted German, British, and American nationalism with the Russian Revolution and labor's internationalism, the author concludes with the proposal for a socialist world federation (EGBERT II, p. 278).
