This recording artist and Big Band singer renowned for her perfect pitch became a girl-next-door sensation in a string of popular films that include "Calamity Jane" (1953), "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (1956), "The Pajama Game" (1957) and several romantic comedies with Rock Hudson in the 1960s; later in life she became a noted animal rights activist. In a light area at center she boldly inscribes and signs "To George / Every good wish / always / Doris Day" in black fineline. Undated, but a fine pose seemingly from her late 1960s television show.
