Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall.

This s a collection of myths, legends, ghost stories and poetry written supposedly by Thomas Ingoldsby. Not dated. Edition and printing not known. In tan coloured leather with gilt decorated front and back strip. The front cover is split about half an inch from the tail and the top edge on both sides of spine. The leather is clean and a little worn to front. Illustrated end papers on light grey back ground.Gilt top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are quite clean. Very good text block with clean pages, tightly bound and straight. Decorative title page and frontispiece; crease to title page. No dedications etc. Without jacket. A nice volume.
