The story was first anthologised in Andromeda 1 in 1976, and subsequently in Trips in Time (Silverberg, 1977) and The Best Science Fiction of the Year 6 (Carr, 1977). This is the author's top-copy fair-copy of the manuscript, with a handful of minor corrections. Comparison to the proof shows considerable alterations. Manuscript in very good condition, coffee stain to first sheet, general edgewear and some markings from staples and paperclip.
