Christi Griffin, is a graduate of Webster College and received her Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law in 1983. Griffin began her private law practice as a ministry in 1984 and headed one of the largest consumer bankruptcy law firms in the State of Missouri for 23 years. In 2007, Griffin began The Ethics Project to reduce wrongful incarcerations by educating the public about professional ethics. The project has evolved to directly addressing the impact that crime, incarcerations and injustice has on children families and the community through consortiums of agencies and ministries who serve populations affected by crime, through Youth Gang Summits, Leadership Workshops, Youth Empowerment Forums, The Safe Stop Campaign, collaboration with Ilyasah Shabazz, daughter of slain human rights leader, El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, Malcolm X and nationally acclaimed speaker, author and CNN contributor, Victor Woods. Christi Griffin's service to the community includes serving as former Chairperson of the St. Louis Civil Rights Enforcement Commission, as a former member of the Boards of Directors of the Joint Boards of Health and Hospitals of the City of St. Louis, Missouri Catholic Conference Public Policy Committee, St. Louis Archdiocesan Board of Education, former Co-Chair of the St. Louis Archdiocesan Pro-Life Committee, Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation, Gateway Classic Sports Scholarship Foundation, Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis, St. Louis Archdiocesan Charitable Bequest Council, Archbishop's Committee on Parish/Teachers Relations, St. Louis Association of Bankruptcy Attorneys (Founder), United Way of Metropolitan St. Louis (member of the Finance Committee, Cabinet Member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society and Chair of the Attorney Market of the Charmaine Chapman Society), Board of Trustees of Kenrick Glennon Seminary, Advisory Committee of the Charles Sumner Preparatory Charter High School and the St. Louis Alliance for Re-Entry. She continues to serve on the Urban League's Public Safety Advisory Council of St. Louis, and the St. Louis Initiative to Reduce Violence. Christi Griffin is the recipient of numerous awards including the President's Call to Service Award and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major for Justice Award. She is a Blue Ribbon Toastmaster Speaker, the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of five. Christi Griffin is also the author of 21 Days to Joy, A Daily Devotional to Finding Joy.
