Circa [1930]., [1930].. Very good. - A printed illustrated biography clipped from a periodical mounted on a 3-3/4 inch high by 7-1/2 inch wide green card stock. The card is signed below his portrait: "Daniel Willard". Very good. <p>The illustrations on the card are by Albert Reid and include depictions of Willard weaning calves and feeding pigs in his youth as well as railroad views.<p>Daniel Willard [1861-1942] was a railroad executive best known as the president of the Baltimore and Ohio [B&O] Railroad from 1910-1941. Popularly known as "Uncle Dan", he established the B&O's reputation as a public-minded and innovative railroad. He served on or headed several government railroad commissions and took part in negotiating wage cuts during the Great Depression.
