Broadside issued by the "German Emergency League Against the Black Disgrace" agitating against the presence of Black troops (soldiers from French colonies) in the occupation of the Rhineland. One side depicts an occupation soldier forcing himself upon a German woman while another rushes over to join in; quote by Heinrich Distler below. The other side shows hands clasped in prayer, with text about the ravishment of German womanhood by the "Black madness." Heinrich Distler also published a pamphlet in 1920 titled "Schwarze Schmach! Die Schändung der deutschen Frau durch Frankreich" (Black shame! The desecration of the German woman by France).
