Garden City, New York: Doubleday and Company, 1961. Early Printing. Hardcover. Very Good in Very Good Dustjacket. Robert Leydenfrost. Editors added this explanatory phrase by way of subtitle, to front cover only: "A joyous book of sense and nonsense verse". Two sections - Roethke's "Nonsense Poems" and his "Greenhouse Poems". 8vo (8.50" x 5.75") Yellow and grey boards with blue graphic to front board of jumping lamb. A bit of light staining to front board, nudge to lower front corner, and slightly larger bump to lower rear corner. Blue and white DJ with lovely, whimsical lambs leaping amongst yellow flowers, with just a bit of shelfwear to jacket. Contains Roethke's marvelous and often-limericky verse, as well as his magnificent "My Papa's Waltz", and others.
