About This Item
NY: E. P. Dutton & Company, 1947. First Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. First edition, first printing of the author's first book, near fine in a very good dust jacket. The front endpaper has a little minor soiling, and there is just a hint of a spine slant to the book. The unrestored jacket has a chip at the top of the spine (not affecting any lettering), and a much smaller chip at the heel of the spine. The red lettering on the spine is slightly sunned, as compared to the bright red on the front panel. No names or other marking in or on the book, $2.50 price is present at the bottom of the front flap. A tight and clean copy of the first Mike Hammer novel.
Synopsis
Here's Mickey Spillane and Mike Hammer in their roughest and readiest--a double-strength shot of sex, violence, and action that is vintage Spillane all the way. It's a tough-guy mystery to please even the most bloodthirsty of fans!
