Garden City: Doubleday, Doran and Company, 1945. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Black cloth with red lettering and pictorial stamping, pictorial dust jacket. 182pp. Near fine/very good. Jacket lightly edgeworn and a bit rubbed. Handsome first edition -- with fun autograph addition: Tipped to front flyleaf is a 3" X 2" slip boldly inscribed and signed by the authort: "To Pearl / Best Wishes / Earl Wilson" in blue ballpoint. "Burning the midnight Earl with New York's famous Saloon Editor," notes front jacket panel about this "Baedeker of New York night life." Outstanding jacket art.
