Octavo; royal blue cloth, with titles stamped in gilt on spine; dustjacket; 185pp. Inscribed by the author on the title page: "For Peter - John Edgar Wideman." Starting oxidation to spine gilt, else Fine in a Fine, unclipped dustjacket, with some pinpoint wear to spine ends. The Philadelphia author's second novel, recounting the struggles of a highly-educated interracial man.
