Five page preface by Saroyan commenting on the dynamics of the play and its performance along with an invitation to those who put the play on, to write to him telling what happened when the play was performed. He also states that the hunger referred to is not for bread though that is good, but for immortality. The cover edges show mild wear and the cover margins are tanned. The interior is clean and the stapled binding is solid. .
