London: William Heinemann Ltd, 1934. Bound in the publishers grey paper covered hardboards with blue title lettering to front board and spine. This is the rare first impression of the New Edition published December 1934. Effectively the second impression of a book which first appeared in 1930. All pages are present and correct with no inscriptions and are tightly bound. Book sits solid and square with al corners sharp. Beautiful full colour illustrations by the legendary Margaret Tempest throughout the text remain in superb condition. Book is fox free and in almost as new condition. Title lettering to spine and front board remains sharp and definite as does the delightful colour illustration pasted to front board. A book that bears all the hallmarks of having been extremely well looked after over the years. Author and artist together creating the perfect childrens book.
