How Canada Was Won: A Tale of Wolfe and Quebec, Brereton, Captain F.S. Published by Blackie and Son Limited; London; Copp Clark Limited, Toronto, Circa 1916. 12mo up to 7½" tall., 391pp; 8 black and white illustrative plates by William Rainey; 3 maps. Green cloth boards with gilt titles and illustration front and spine in blue, black, green, and brown; all edges green; grey endpapers. Contents have an occasional light foxing spot and are otherwise fine. Boards have moderate wear to corners and spine edges; binding is tight and gilt and colors remain bright.
Lieutenant-Colonel Frederick Sadleir Brereton, (1872-1957) was a British Army medical officer and an author of children's books on heroic deeds conducted in the name of the British Empire.
