Inoffensive stain on outer page edges to otherwise near fine volume; jacket edgeworn, with a few archivally closed (on verso) edge tears. Tight and attractive first edition. Superb copy of this scarce study -- with appropriate nonauthorial gift inscription on front flyleaf: "Presented to / Artie Marshall Christy / on his observance of / Fifty Years in Masonry / by his / Brethren of Herald Lodge #455 / George E. Cordell / Worshipful Master / Maxwell, Iowa / April 7, 1965." (Boldly penned in black fineline with signature in blue ballpoint.).
