Niagara Falls, Ont., c. 1890s & 1900s. Hardcover. Good. Unpaginated. One vol. is 24 cm & the other 21 cm. Leather spines with marbled boards are worn and corners bumped. "Memo" book spine especially worn, chipped and front board very loose. Larger book has minor thumbing and page edges stained. "Memo" book has much foxing and yellowing of pages.
Horse pedigree, correspondence and other notes from J. G. Cadham, Niagara Falls, Ontario, mainly around the turn of the 20th century. According to his letterhead, Cadham was an auctioneer as well as a real estate and general agent, conveyancer, etc. A small but fascinating glimpse into business life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
