Laid-in this copy is an autograph postcard signed by the author and a one page autograph letter signed from the author to the recipient of this copy. Additionally, there is the author's small two page printed catalog of the books he has available for sale. Contains 28 full-page black and white photographs by Noble Bretzman depicting scenes at Hampton Plantation on the Santee River, including several photos of blacks. Turnbull V, 474. Neat name of former owner, else fine in edgeworn dustjacket.
