Spurr amongst others. Little stories and poems for young children. Named authors: T. Harcourt Llewellyn, Elsie C. Walker, H.M. Boston, Isobel Harrow, Eve Kent, Margaret Ormiston, A. Doherty, T. Kelly, W. Herbert Hunter. Head and tail of spine and corners very slightly worn, paper on lower cover slightly worn away, page edges lightly browned, contents very nice. Very good clean tight copy. Spurr, black lettering and pattern on spine, (67) pages. 4 colour plates by Joan Hoyle, black and white illustrations by Hoyle and B. Spurr amongst others. 2 full page coloured illustrations, 3 full page black and white illustrations, black and white text illustrations, many signed Joan Hoyle. Authors named: A. Doherty, Thomas Kelly, W. Herbert Hunter, A.E. Seymour, Margaret Ormiston and Gertrude Veysey. Slightly worn at head and tail of spine with tiny chips to surface paper, corners just slightly rubbed, old price in biro on front endpaper, page edges a bit darkened. A very good plus copy of a rare pre-war Ladybird series book. This volume contains some of the stories found in Holiday Fun, another pre-war Ladybird series book.
