Illustrated endpapers showing various theatre cards for magicians past -- e.g., Houdini, Chung Lin Soo -- Marvellous Chinese Conjurer and Alexander -- The Man Who Knows. On the rear paste down that there is an envelope and within that envelope postcards of the magicians from within the story. Colour illustrated front cover against a purple background with gilt and yellow titles to the front panel and gilt titles to the backstrip. A story about a young magician in the 21st century who all of a sudden is being visited by past masters of the art -- Houdini, Chung Ling Soo, The Great Carter and others. At the rear of the book there is a section on magic tricks to learn for yourself. Rubbing to the book corners and to the book panels. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
