Chicago / Seattle: Pioneer Historical Publishing Company, 1926. First Edition. Two Volumes Hardcover. Very Good. Two vols. Thick 4tos. Pp. xiv, 984. Pp. 955. Both vols. illustrated from photographs; Vol. II with engraved plates of many key figures. All edges marbled. Bound in matching textured cloth with gilt lettering stamped on spine. Both bindings fine and bright; Vol. I with occasional marginalia and underscoring throughout in pencil. On the front free endpaper of Vol. I, in ink, "Myra E. F. Brown / 2622 Ellis St. / City [Bellingham]." An envelope remnant, laid-in, has pencil annotation: "Phoebe Judson crossed the plains in 1853 + became a resident of Puget Sound before the organization of Washington Territory. (rule0 Maria + Elizabeth Roeder were foster sisters + were as dear to me as my own."
