Type: Z xiiipp; 539pp. A lovely copy being a facsimile of the original 1912 first edition. Numerous illustrations throughout support the text. Bound in blue cloth boards with gilt decorative design and central vignette to the front board and decorative titling to the spine. Light bump to the tail of the spine and a very slight scratch to the front board, measuring 5 cm in length and a couple of slight soil marks to the rear board. There is an area of light rubbing to the top corner of the front end paper with a corresponding mark to the front paste down. Fresh and clean. Dust wrapper not price clipped. There are 5 short tears from the wrapper edges, 3 now repaired with acid free archival tape to the reverse of the wrapper and 2 being expertly repaired. One tear has associated creasing. The wrapper is surprisingly clean and tight. A very good copy.
