London,Methuen,1901, pp.xii, 358 plus adverts, with 100 illustrations and 6 diagrams. Ex-library in the original cloth. There is some quite minor wear to the spine, library numbers at the foot, and the binding is rather dull, but still very sound. Internally there is a label inside the front cover, a note of the date of purchase and a few pencil notes. There is a blind stamp to the title-page and an ink stamp on the verso. A couple of pages have been carelessly opened and there is the odd finger-mark. Not, perhaps, a collector's item, but still a sound, tight copy of the scarce original edition.
