About This Item

A historical novel "edited" by Thackeray. Red cloth cover with gilt stamping on front and spine. B&W frontispiece, title page printed in red and black. Deckle-edged pages. All 16 B&W plates are intact.

FON on FFEP dated Christmas 1896.

Cover is stained and bumped, with wear on corners and top & heel of spine. Protective tissue over frontispiece is chipped and detached. Pages are age tanned and foxed. Some cracking in text block.
