Due to the lack of information about the subject, he wrote the History of Mexico almost entirely relying on primary sources. In this work he also covers the life of Spanish Conquistador, Hernando (aka Fernando) Cortez, who led an expedition that caused the fall of the Aztec Empire and brought large portions of mainland Mexico under the rule of the King of Castile in the early 16th century.

A beautiful collection fit for the library of any Historian Latin American.
