About This Item
Overall, very good condition. Binding is red with marbled boards and four gilt horse heads and gilt text on spine. It is in good condition with some wear on the edges of both volumes. There is some humidity staining, shadow staining and light foxing up to the page following the title page on both volumes. The final two pages each have age discoloration a bit darker that the rest of the book. All other pages are clean with no markings and only light tanning on the edges. The frontispiece in Vol. 2 is present but separated from the binding. The spines are in very good condition. A notable historical set, particularly for the two engraved frontispieces.
