Half-leather with well-rubbed marbled covers, scuffed corners and spine-ends. Pages 621-623 together detached with rear end-papers. Plates are darkened with some foxing, pages have occasional light smudges but are otherwise clean. Three plates, including the map, are missing. Plates present are: Engraving of A Geological Map of the Cleveland Coast compiled by Henry Cross; Lithograph of Gisborough Priory; Engraving of Skelton Castle; Engraving of Lofthouse Rectory; Engraving of A View of Runswick Bay; Engraving of Mulgrave Castle; Engraving of Marske Hall (detached and with ragged edge); Lithograph of Kirkleatham Hall; Engraving of Wilton Castle; Lithograph of Kildale Hall; Fold-out Pedigree of Allan of Blackkwell Grange etc (short splits on folds and with additional creases); Engraving of Acklam Hall.
