Bath: Richard Cruttwell, 1826. vi, [2], cxlviii, [3], 152-280pp, ciii, [1], plates. Rebound in modern half calf and comb pattern marbled paper over boards, raised bands, spine six panels, title in gilt to second panel, author to fourth, bands bordered with gilt single rule, all edges marbled. Externally near fine. Internally some light browning and occasional spot of foxing, small round damp stain to bottom margin of Mm and Nn, with small hole to Nn1, but the text is generally quite bright and clean. Plates foxed and browned to edges, damp stain to corner (outside of plate mark), images generally clean. With twenty plates (one coloured) as called for. Lowndes 2845. First Edition. Half Calf and Boards. Good+. Folio.

R. Blamire, 1793. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1793. No Edition Stated. 215 pages. This is an ex-Library book. Half bound brown leather with marbled boards. Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Volume II. Separately paginated appendix to rear, 70pp. With folding map of the Isle of Wight. Text block edges decoratively speckled. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and peeling to corners, while spine ends are crushed and rubbed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Spine title label partly missing. Gilt is bright.
