A very uncommon unit history, covering the history of the units of the division, some back to the French and Indian war, through the primary coverage of the Second World War. The YD, landing in September, participated in Northern France, Lorraine, the Saar, the Battle of the Bulge, the Rhineland, and Central Europe, under the 3rd US Army.
