Publisher's half pebbled buckram over blue cloth boards, spines in five compartments separated by raised bands, gilt lettering on blue labels in two compartments, gilt tooling in remainder, gilt borders on covers, t.e.g., marbled endpapers. Each volume illustrated with B&W photographs. The volumes include: American (2 volumes); French; German; English; Roman; Spanish; Greece; Japan, and China; and Our Island Empire. Missing the "Russian" and "King Arthur" volumes. . Some of the spines have dark spots, but all of the interiors are crisp and clean, the hinges are strong, and all of the books appear unread. VERY GOOD. . B&W Plates. 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
