William Mudford's 'Historical Account of the Campaign in the Netherlands' is an impressive visual account of the Battle at Waterloo in 1815, illustrating various scenes, maps, and iconic landscapes. It includes notable stories of Napoleon's battle strategy, his departure to St. Helena, as well as his surrender at Paris.
This highly desirable illustrated first edition includes an added engraved title page and four other illustrations by the famous artists George Cruikshank. Other illustrations include views of the city of Brussels, Waterloo Chapel, Duke of Wellington's headquarters, Village of Mont St. Jean, Cottage of Valette, Frischermont Chateau, Ligny Castle, and many others.
