New York: Printed for the Author, 1883. 1st ed. 220pp. Portrait frontis., plates (some colored), maps (some folding). Orig. blindstamped cloth. Cloth lightly speckled, light wear to spine end, else a very good or better copy. Rare. Only one copy has been auctioned in almost 50 years. Signed and numbered by the author on the title page. Privately produced historical survey of the mines of Mexico, compiled from the works of Humboldt and others, reports from various mining associations and companies, etc. The maps are quite notable, detailing the various mining regions, and individual mines.
