London: Published for the Institute of Jamaica by the West India Committee, 1915. Hardcover. xxiii, 424p., first edition illustrated with inserted coated stock (b&w plates, period images) and with numerous period vignettes in the text. Small stout little hardcover, 7.5x5 inches in pale tan cloth boards lettered and decorated in red, cloth has a sort of waxed finish with a bit of grubby soil underneath the surface, head rim is spoilt with three tiny (eighth-inch) tears while tail-rim is crimped, free endsheets are badly toned but not the pastedowns nor any other text paper, sewn signatures show minute gaps here & there with an eighth-inch gap at p.1, item remains shapely and for all practical purposes sound & tight, within find no soil nor any markings, a good to very good copy.
