Handsomely bound exemplar of the Fifth Edition of this popular French-language hagiography of Saint Paul. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy bound in pebbly red cloth over boards, creamy red leather-backed, with five raised bands, fleurs-de-lis in five compartments and gilt-tooled titling there, with unbruised tips, light waffling to paste-down and first few endpapers owing to light damp-staining there, dissipating; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Two prior owners' inscriptions penned at frontis. Gift inscription at second free endpaper, fine steel engraving at frontis, new marbled endpapers. Gilt edges all around, and with sewn-in linen ribbon bookmarks. [5], 6-645 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
