About This Item
New York, New York, U.S.A.: Alfred A. Knopf, 1997. 1st Edition 2nd Printing. Soft cover. Very Good/Very Good. This special "His Dark Materials Trilogy includes I: The Golden Compass, II: The Subtle Knife (SIGNED on title page), III: The Amber Spyglass AND the US Uncorrected Proof of The Subtle Knife. Details: I. The Golden Compass ( UK title: "Northern Lights) 1st Edition, 1st Printing. The book is in near fine condition with intact, tight and spine boards, with a very slight tilt. The DJ is also in near fine condition with a partly price clipped corner. II. The Subtle Knife: 1997 Knopf 1st Edition/2nd printing **SIGNED**on the title page. A flawed copy in VG-/VG- condition. The bottom end clearly got wet and there is blue dye on the bottom page ends reflected on the inside of the DJ with just a minute bleed to the bottom of the inside boards. The text is not affected at all. But for the noted flaw, the price for this book alone would be significantly higher. III: The Amber Spyglass: Complete your collection with a Very Good/ Near Fine 1st Edition/1st Printing of the final book in "His Darkest Materials" trilogy. Text: clean with no markings or owner's signatures. Hard Back (HB): Beautiful intact boards and spine with a rare publisher's flaw from pages 271-302 (1/4 inch of the top of the pages was cut off, then shifted down with no text missing). Dust Jacket (DJ): Not price clipped, no markings. A repair of a minor tear of DJ small loss of gold on front. **BONUS": A free copy of the US Uncorrected Proof of "The Subtle Knife," soft bound, in Good Condition.
