Macmillan's Colonial Library, London, 1909. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Photographic. 900 g; XIV, 442, 8, & VIII, 450, 8 pages, in 2 volumes both with blind stamped decoration to the top left of the front panel and gilt titling to the front panel and the spine. There are 4 photographs in each volume and occasional decoration. Traces of foxing to the preliminary few pages of volume 2. Both volumes front edges are untrimmed, as are the bottom edges. These 2 volumes were marketed for sale only in India and the British colonies. There is a ownership inscription on the half title page of volume 1. This is a complete set, -- "it is my intention to collect in a 3rd volume of all the material for which there is no room in Trans-Himalaya." Page X volume 1 Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
