Pale green cloth with extensive black pictorial and decorative stamping and lettering. xi, 104pp. Illustrations, decorative endpapers. Very good. Binding lightly soiled as usual. A tight and attractive second edition, revised and enlarged, of this translation of the 1530 poem by the 16th century Italian physician who gave us the word syphilis. Discreet ex-library, with few and mostly-removed markings. Includes "A History of Fracastor's Life" by Mario Truffi. Nice copy of this curiosity.
