About This Item

Richmond, CA: OuchFactory YumClub, 2007. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. New. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. New, and completely pristine throughout. See scans and description. Richmond, CA: OuchFactory YumClub, 2007. Volume 5 (2007) of Hi-Fructose - The New Contemporary Art Magazine, edited by founders Attaboy and Annie Owens. One of those indescribably appealing Amy Sol pieces graces the cover. Quarto, illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 98 pp. New, flawless, cover to cover. See all scans. In sealed storage, on premises, since acquisition. An expensively produced, serious eye-candy contemporary art publication, published four times a year since 2005, HF seems to out-do itself with each new issue. Every page deserves a scan, were that possible here; slam-dunk collectible, and a very scarce early one, at that. From H-F's own 2007 online description: "This issue features an interview with cover artist Ray Caesar, the doe-eyed art of Fawn Gehweiler, the tiled street abduction of Space Invader, Ragnar's hobos and vixens, an interview with Gary Taxali. Plus: multi-page exposés on Kozik's "Bird is the Word" Mao busts, The Gorillaz as shot by Brian McCarty, the art of Lesley Reppeteaux, Bogger Dolls from Sauerkids, Sam Buxton, Wilfred Wood, a journey into Longo Land, designer art toys and much, much more." A worthy genre keeper, never produced in large numbers, and in this case in pristine condition. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course - not a bag. LPR46
