About This Item

FIRST EDITION, in orange boards decorated with black and gold, in dust jacket; SIGNED, DATED (1939) with a full page INSCRIPTION by the author on the FFEP. The book is about fine. The un-clipped dust jacket has wear to the edges, spine ends, and a shallow closed, triangular tear along the bottom edge of the front panel. An unusual, distrubing approach to the racial issues under the surface in Hollywood at this time. Unusual cover image with HEIL! HOLLYWOOD in large type and a smaller golden swatika below it. See & Brooker.
