London: Walter Scott Gilt title and flower motif on green cloth boards. Boards are clean with very minor marks and just a little touch of wear to spine head and corner tips. Internally there is age darkening of endpapers else clean, tight and unmarked with no previous ownership inscriptions. Not dated but circa 1890's. All edges gilt. No author noted just 'by the author of John Halifax, Gentleman'. An acclaimed novel by Mrs. Craik ( Dinah Maria Mulock 1826-1887) first published in 1852 and dedicated to Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Uniform with the Brotherhood Library series. 1. Hard Cover. Very Good AEG/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
