London : Gollancz, 1951. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing 1951. Hardback book is reasonably tight and square. Both the upper and lower board have softened corners and fading. The spine is faded, with rubbed and bumped ends, the black titles also have some rubbing but are still legible. Text block edges have toning, more pronounced to the top edge. The pastedowns have very light offset toning, other than that the rest of the pages are very crisp and unblemished, although there is the occasional turned corner. Feels read is still firmly bound. Grades as good condition. No jacket. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A jacket less solid copy of this first printing Lovecraft title, with an introduction By August Derleth and featuring some of the classic Lovecraftian tales: The Outsider, Rats in the Walls; Pickman's Model; The Call of Cthulhu; The Dunwich Horror; The Whisperer in Darkness; The Colour Out of Space; The Haunter of the Dark; The Thing on the Doorstep and The Music Erich of Zann
