Cambridge: Welch, Bigelow, and Company, University Press, 1875. First Edition . Half Leather - Hardbound. Fair+/No Dust Jacket. Royal 4to. Complete in two volumes. Presentation inscription is seen on the title page of Volume I in which the books are presented to Yves Henry Buhler from Hamilton Fish Potter in 1924. Leather over spine and corners, with pebbled cloth over boards. University emblem is gilt stamped on top covers. Raised spine band creating six compartments. Gilt stamped lettering and blind stamped decoration. All edges are gilded. Marbled end leaves. Covers are scuffed, rubbed and worn, though lettering remains good. Joints and hinges with small cracks though both volumes remain tight with no looseness of covers. Several leaves near center of Volume II show creases and tears along upper fore edge, though none affecting text or images. General light wear. Due to weight, additional charges will apply for Priority and/or International shipping.
