About This Item
New York: Harper and Brothers, 1955. First reinforced library Edition (meaning the edition issued to libraries by the publisher, as opposed to an ex-library copy), with "REINFORCED LIBRARY EDITION" stamped on the front jacket panel across Harold's belly. Jacket is first issue, but price-clipped by the publisher (again, as issued).
Near Fine in cloth covered boards with white lettering and a Very Good plus, price-clipped dust jacket. Front board lightly bowed. Price clipping is jagged, jacket has mild rubbing at the extremities, light toning to the spine, and a short closed tear to the top edge of the front panel. A lovely copy of this truly classic children's story of creativity and personal empowerment.
