Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Moderate tanning, with light foxing and marking to pages. Heavy tanning to text block edges. Light foxing to pastedowns and endpapers, with inserts to front. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Heavy bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends, causing cloth to fray. Boards are slightly bowed with tanning to spine.

Undated edition, probably 1950s. Firmly bound, maroon cloth boards with marks on the cover. Scuffing, tears, creases and dust spotting on jacket in poor condition with some paper loss, mostly at the top of the spine. Describes an overland journey from London, through Europe to India.
