Very good blue cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) with gilt to cover and spine shows bumping to corners, some soiling to covers and page edges, small sticker at bottom of front pastedown and some other mild trace wear. 185 pages followed by an index of first lines. Still a pleasing copy of this collection from the noted poet.

Includes an introductory explanation of the book's title by Rev. M. S. Rice. "Eddie" Guest, sometimes referred to as the "People's Poet," was a popular poet in the early part of the 20th century. Mr. Guest was born in England, but his family moved to Detroit, Michigan when he was 10. --- In flexible red leather boards with titling and decoration in bright gilt to cover; spine titling also in gilt, brown marbled endpapers and TEG (top edge gilt). Volume lacks a dust jacket. --- About one inch of leather covering at head of spine is missing, and with small bruises, chafed spots and blemishes to covers, as well as inked gift incription & ownership info. to front paste-down, otherwise a well-preserved copy.; 16mo - 6 to 7 in. tall; 185, (4) pages .

Book has a slight forward lean. Mild staining to joints.
