1890. Original manuscript. Very Good. 3pp, octavo, neatly written in blue ink. Korns discusses his working as a correspondent to the "Chronicle," noting that he and his father still run the post-office in New Philadelphia, which nets them each $900 a year. Looking back on his experience as a journalist, he notes "My ambition is to get a paper of my own after I am through with the Post-office....Am anxious not to grow rusty in the work....The last year and a half that I was on the 'Advocate', I did three-fourths of the writing....I will endeavor each week to give you good, reliable news...," &c. &c. Dated 12 June 1890. 8" x 5". Neat archival repairs on verso, accompanied by the soiled and worn mailing envelope.
