This is a combined volume for historians, collectors and reenactors. The first part is based on the British War Office Intelligence Branch reference volume Handbook of the Military Forces of the United States 1914. Originally printed as a restricted document in 1914 to provide details on the American military, it includes information on peace and war organizations prior to America's entry into WW 1. It chronicles the American Army that served in the Mexican Punitive Expedition under Pershing , which invaded Mexico in pursuit of Pancho Villa. It covers conditions of service in the Regular Army, plus details on the American General Staff, Cavalry, Artillery, Engineers, Infantry, and Signal Corps units. American tactics are covered as well as the military education system. The second part of the combined volume is Description of Infantry Equipment, Model of 1910.
