Limited Edition of 1000 numbered sets, however book is not numbered. Contains colour illustrated plates. Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout, heavier to endpapers. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Light thumb-marking present. Cracking to hinges with exposed binding. Minor pencil inscription to front pastedown. Boards have mild edge wear with some dark rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Light tanning to spine and edges.

This expands upon an earlier book in German by Neugebauer and Orendi, Handbuch der Orientalischen Teppichkunde. Although the volume of plates is missing, the text still is valuable as a historic and decorative arts resource.
