The New York Air Brake Company, New York, 1951. Edition Unstated. Softcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Text body is clean and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Stapled b & w pictorial wraps, viii + 33 pp. (one side of page only), graphs; a paper presented March 2, 1951 at M.I.T. by L.K. Sillcox, then Executive Vice-President of the New York Air Brake Company. Highly technical, presented when diesel-electric engines were considered new technology and addresses braking issues for both steam locomotives and diesel engines.
