no city, Vermont: Privately printed by Norman and Frances Lear, 1984. 136p., b&w and sepia illustrations (one in color) carefully reproduced; oblong 8x9 inch decorated wraps. Spine panel slightly wrenched at the head, several dings and general light edgewear, a good copy. Celebrates farmland and homestead owned by a succession of artists and writers, most notably Robert Frost. Folklorist and author Beck published a biography of West Indian fisherman and magician Alexander Charles in 1979.
